Emancipation Day

Emancipation Day, celebrated on August 1st, is the day The Slavery Abolition Act became law in the British Empire (including Canada) in 1834. The Law ended the practice of slavery for millions of African People and their descendants around the world.

In support of this important day we have created the Emancipation Day Rack Card to inform and educate everyone about this important moment in history.
